Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - Review

Well, last night, I saw Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. In a nutshell, the movie is this:

Werewolf Spartacus falls in love with Vampire Juliet. Werewolf Spartacus pisses off Davey Jones for wanting to be free. Werewolf Spartacus raises a Werewolf Braveheart army. Davey Jones finds out about Werewolf Spartacus and Vampire Juliet, who is pregnant with the world's first bi-monster child. Davey Jones captures Werewolf Spartacus and makes him watch Vampire Juliet get all sunshined. The Werewolf Braveheart army and the wargs from The Two Towers attack Davey Jones' fortress. Werewolf Spartacus and Davey Jones forgo their supernatural powers and fight with swords. Someone gets a sword through the face. The werewolves are free. Swordy-Face is still alive. The end.

All in all, I enjoyed the movie. I thought it was considerably better than Underworld: Evolution. It was a b-movie, but a mindless and quick moving b-movie. It had one thing that makes me consider putting it above the first movie in the series and that is it lacked the guy who played Kraven (except for a bit of voice over from him at the end...). Man, his wretched acting in the first flick annoyed me. The best parts of the second movie were when he was killed and the Bilbo Baggins imposter showed up.

Anyway, it was decent. Not sure if it was $10 decent, but worth a rental. Or a DVD buy, in my case. I like b-movies. And Rhona Mitra is kinda hot.
