Reports are emerging on the internet that Sony is looking to shoot Spider-Man 4 and 5 back to back next year with a Summer 2010 and Summer 2011 release for them. Personally, that doesn't seem like a long enough time to develop two effects heavy movies and after the Matrix and Pirates sequels, the idea of shooting back to back kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth (granted, Back to the Future and Lord of the Rings worked, but for some reason, they seem the exception to the rule).
Personally, I'm all for Spidey sequels, but this smells of the Spider-Man 3 Venom fiasco if you ask me...
